Zerno for Windows
The same program as on the Mac: the same films, lenses, papers and recipes, the same arithmetic and the same project file — a frame processed on a Mac opens on Windows as the same frame. The interface is its own, native to Windows.
- System
- Windows 11 · a graphics card with DirectX 12 (feature level 11_0), integrated or discrete · about 4.5 GB of video memory for a 60 MP master (an integrated card takes it from system memory) · 16 GB of RAM. The installer also runs on Windows 10 version 2004 or later, but we have not tested it there yet — the five-day trial will show
- Input formats
- RAW from most cameras, JPEG, HEIF
- Internet
- with a licence — about once a month, to renew the licence file; in the trial — at every launch
The installer does not carry a developer certificate yet, and the browser or Windows may ask whether you trust the file: Edge while downloading — “…” → Keep → Keep anyway; Windows at launch — “More info” → “Run anyway”. This is neither an error nor a virus — the system simply does not know the developer. Step by step — on the Download page.
A Zerno key has two activations, on any two computers: two Macs, two Windows computers or one of each. A bought key works the same on both systems; how to get a licence.
First steps is written for the Mac: on Windows Ctrl stands for ⌘ and Alt for ⌥. The full list of keys is the “?” button in the program window's title bar.
